Most tech channels tell you what to buy. This one asks why you wanted it.

DevPsyche makes videos about the people inside a tech obsession: the homelab that turned into a rack, the ThinkPad that still runs fine, the local AI box that heats the spare room. They're written in the second person, because the person in the story is usually you.

The DevPsyche mascot: a developer in a black hoodie with headphones around his neck He's fine

The guy in the hoodie

He's in every thumbnail, sweating, next to the thing we all say. “It's just a media server.” “It's for work.” “It saves money.” The yellow box is the lie. The red arrow points at the truth.

What the videos are about

Homelabs and self-hosting. Linux, and the people who can't stop switching distros. Running AI on your own hardware. Networking. Programming languages and the people who defend them. Mechanical keyboards, data hoarding, laptops that should have retired years ago. If people spend a whole weekend on it and call it relaxing, it's fair game.

Who watches

People who run their own servers, write code, fix everyone's Wi-Fi and have opinions about filesystems. Plus the people who live with them and want to know what's going on in the closet.
